Here are some facts about our congregation that you might find interesting. They seek to flesh out our congregation's Mission Statement.
+ This congregation, Trinity Lutheran Church, was established in 1866. It is therefore one of oldest congregations in the Carver area.
+ Our sanctuary was consecrated in 1914. Its beautiful interior alone is worth a visit.
+ Worship services are held every Sunday. During the summer months worship begins at 9:00 a.m. During the school year, church starts at 10:00 a.m. The Lord’s Supper is offered on the first and third Sundays of the month.
+ During the seasons of Advent and Lent, there is an additional midweek service on Wednesdays, at 7:00 p.m. Special services are held on Christmas and Easter, during holy week, and on other holidays.
+ There are brief daily devotions available by calling the Dial-A-Devotion line at (952) 903-4901.
+ During the school year, there are various opportunities for spiritual growth through God’s Word available. These begin at 8:45 a.m. on Sundays with Christin Education Hour: Adult Bible Class and, for those between 4 years of age and 8th grade, our Sunday School program.
+ During the summer months, Trinity Lutheran Church sponsors a week-long Vacation Bible School.
+ Seventh and eighth grade students attend weekly instruction in God's Word and Martin Luther's Small Catechism leading to confirmation and communicant membership in our congregation.
+ Trinity Lutheran Women's Missionary League, the local chapter of Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML), meets monthly (September thru June) for Bible study, fellowship, and discussion of how to support Lutheran missions locally and globally.
+ Those willing and able to sing make a joyful noise unto the Lord on special occasions in the Trinity Lutheran Choir.
+ There are various fellowship events scheduled throughout the year.
+ Our members serve God and their neighbors in their various daily vocations, that is, as fathers and mothers; sons and daughters; husbands and wives; and workers of all kinds. They also help in many other ways, as Christian love and human need might direct them.
+ As a congregation, and as individual members, we reach out to those in our communities and families who do not yet know Jesus as their God and Savior. We do that in various ways with God's Word. We are confident that it is always God alone who is at work to save the lost through his Word.
+ Our teaching and living as Church of Jesus Christ, and as individual Christians, takes place according to God’s own unchanging Word, the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments.
+ We accept the 1529 Small Catechism of Dr. Martin Luther and the other writings contained in the 1580 Christian Book of Concord as true summary of God’s Biblical Word.
+ Our congregation uses the orders of service (liturgies) and the hymns contained in our church body's official hymnal, Lutheran Worship, to teach the Christian faith among us; to confess this faith before the world; to express our unity in faith with fellow Lutherans.
+ Since its foundation in 1866, Trinity Lutheran Church of Carver has been associated with the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod.
+ Membership in our congregation is open to everyone who, after careful instruction in God’s Word, agrees with us on what God’s Word teaches.
